A high-fidelity prototype of a social-networking movie app that aimed to help moviegoers discover upcoming movies and organize their movie-theatre-going plans. A semester-long school project at General Assembly that taught me more about UX design and its five step process.
My original idea was to develop an app that solved the ongoing movie theatrical experience crisis. However, a survey among my peers provided a breakthrough on how people see movies: there is no rhythm or reason. Instead, why not design an organizer that made it easier for movie fans to discover new movies and find their favorite nearby theaters.
The name Fourth Wall refers to the fictional barrier between actors and their audience. This app intended to cut through the clutter of the 24 hour news cycle and directly notified users on the latest movie releases. The simplified layout and bold color palette presented strong movie imagery and typography principles.
